Polish a Limestone Floor

Limestone is a type of sedimentary rock that used in many homes as a counter tops or for flooring. Although more expensive than many traditional flooring (tile and linoleum, for example), limestone will stay looking nice for years and years. However there are a few things to keep in mind if you'd like your limestone flooring to last for life: never use acids to clean your limestone tile --like lemon juice and vinegar-- as they will ruin the floor, and clean your floor regularly to extend its life.
Instructions as follows:
Firstly, sweep the floor thoroughly to remove any loose dust, dirt and crumbs.
Secondly, pour 3 tbsp. of a neutral pH detergent into a medium-sized bucket. Fill the bucket 3/4 full with warm water.
Thirdly, dip a clean mop into the soapy water, wring it out and wipe up the floor. Ensure that you scrub the floor using the mop to not only clean up any messes, but also to restore the luster and shine to the flooring.
Fourthly, wipe up the excess water using a soft cloth or a lint-free cloth. Wipe up all of the water thoroughly--not only will soap residue cause the limestone to lose its luster, but droplets of water left on the floor may stain it.
Tips & Warnings
For best results, use a broom or dust mop to dust and sweep the floor at least twice a week. The floor can then be polished once to twice a month.
